The RH cooling tower is a forced-draft open-circuit evaporative cooling solution engineered for industrial processes where conventional fill media cannot withstand contaminated water. Designed to operate with process water containing suspended solids of up to 400 ppm and temperatures up to 90°C, the RH combines efficient heat rejection with exceptional resistance to fouling, making it ideal for steelworks, foundries, mining, power generation, and other heavy industrial applications.
Unlike traditional cooling towers, the RH features the exclusive X-STREAM heat exchange system, composed of polypropylene blade packs that cool the water through successive droplet formation rather than thin film flow. This design minimises the risk of clogging while maintaining high thermal efficiency, even when handling dirty or particle-laden water. The low-pressure water distribution system uses oversized stainless-steel channels and large polypropylene nozzles to ensure uniform water coverage, reduced pumping head, and reliable operation without blockage.
Built for continuous industrial duty, the RH cooling tower incorporates a heavy-duty galvanised steel structure with folded panels for maximum rigidity and watertightness, while all wetted sections are assembled without welds or screws to improve corrosion resistance and hygiene. The inclined basin with large inspection doors allows complete drainage and easy maintenance, while high-efficiency axial fans positioned outside the humid airflow reduce corrosion, simplify servicing, and ensure low energy consumption. A wide range of options, including stainless-steel construction, plume abatement systems, sound attenuation packages, and intelligent water management solutions, enables the RH cooling tower to be configured for virtually any industrial cooling application.
